Hewlett-Packard has begun a program to spur U.S. customers to lease equipment, offering rebates on equipment-lease agreements between $499 and $50,000, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based computer maker said Wednesday.
Under the rebate program, HP will send leasing customers cash amounting to 2 percent of the total lease transaction amount. HP's Financial Services Company (HPFSC) is offering the deal. The gear can be leased from HP directly or leased through sales partners. The rebate program runs from Aug. 1 to Oct. 31.
