HP, Intel and Microsoft eye Asian e-gov't

Hewlett Packard, Intel and Microsoft today joined hands to launch a new initiative targeted at the government sector in Asia-Pacific.

Forged under the companies? existing Keystone Alliance partnership, the program brings together complementary technologies from the trio to deliver a host of e-government offerings, which include solutions for the deployment of government-to-citizen and government-to-business services. In the first phase of this project, the companies will be targeting China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand, said a HP spokesman. Early adopters of this initiative include China?s Meteorological Administration and Singapore-based insurer NTUC Income, the companies said in a joint statement.
