How to uncork a wine bottle with a drill
If you lose your corkscrew, you can still keep the bottles poppin' with this tip.
If you lost your corkscrew, but still want to pop bottles, there's an unusual -- but very effective -- backup method for uncorking a wine bottle.
All you need is a 2.5-inch screw, a drill (you can also use a screwdriver and some elbow grease) and a pair of pliers.
Drill the screw into the cork until it emerges on the other side of the cork. Make sure you drill straight down. You don't want to drill the screw sideways into the the bottle, it may break. Next, grab the screw with the pliers and use them to pull the cork free. Wiggle the cork back and forth as you pull to free the cork more quickly.
