The A-Audio Legacy headphones are like a cushy concert hall for your head. And you could win a pair! A-Audio

You know me, cheeps -- I'm your champion of affordable audio products, the stuff that sounds "perfectly good" and doesn't break the bank.

But holy moly, a premium pair of headphones or earphones? Yes, please. I say that after spending some time with the two prize items in this new giveaway. They are freakishly awesome. And I want you to win them.

The A-Audio Elite HD would look pretty sweet coming out of your ears, no? A-Audio

The Cheapskate A-Audio Giveaway will have four lucky winners. Two get the A-Audio Legacy over-the-ear headphones. The others, A-Audio Elite HD earphones. List prices: $299 and $99, respectively. Score!

So here's how it went with the loaner Legacy in my house: I opened the box, marveled at the plush, luxurious design of the headphones, then plugged them into my iPhone. Then I listened to some tunes. Then I insisted that Mrs. Cheapskate listen to some tunes.

Then the kids wanted to know what all the fuss was about and insisted on trying the 'phones themselves. Now we all fight over who gets to use them. Seriously. Listening to these things, it's like there's a concert hall in my head. Guess that's what a $300 pair of headphones gets you.

As for the Elite HD, same deal: they sound ah-maze-balls. It's like there's a concert hall in my brain. And they look really impressive, too -- all shiny and diamondy.

Want? Trust me, you do. Here's the short version of how to enter, followed by the longer, legal-er version: Hit the comments below and explain what kind of headphones (over-the-ear? Noise-isolating? Other?) fit your lifestyle best, and why. Bam. You're done. (But please do vote in our optional poll as well!)

Good luck, cheeps! Wish I could send a pair of these to each and every one of you -- especially those of you outside the U.S., who, alas, aren't eligible for the contest.
