Harry Potter's house is for sale, with a cupboard under the stairs

It's where Harry Potter slept in the famed cupboard under the stairs. It's where owls kept trying to deliver his letters from Hogwarts. It's where Harry's aunt and uncle worked relentlessly to preserve a facade of middle-class decorum.
The home that stood in for 4 Privet Drive in the movie version of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" is for sale. And if you've got a well-stocked account at Gringotts, it can be yours.
The home isn't actually at 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey. Instead, it's located at Picket Post Close, Martins Heron, Bracknell, Berkshire, which is about 35 miles west of London. Potterheads can flip through 10 interior and exterior photos of the house on real-estate website Rightmove.
The 1,003-square-foot, two-story home is listed at £475,000, or about $620,000. The nearby educational institutions include Harmans Water Primary School and Heathfield School, so you'll have to land that Hogwarts admission letter all on your own.
Note that the house was featured only in that first movie, "Sorcerer's Stone." After that, it was recreated on stages. It's disappointing that the interior photos don't offer a glimpse of the staircase and cupboard. Instead they show off a gleaming, modern kitchen and a light-filled living room with pale blue walls and shiny wood floors, as well as a master bedroom and two kids' rooms.
The boy wizard dreaded returning to the house, but its next owner will likely find it a more magical spot.
