Originating as a card game in The Witcher 3 video game, it was a fan favourite element. Developer CD Projekt Red said the team was inundated with requests for standalone version of Gwent.
Well, they've delivered. Gwent will have redesigned look but feature the same complex gameplay. A beta test is starting soon and a September launch is planned for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with full cross-platform play.
CD Projekt Red later expanded a little, confirming that there would be a single-player story mode, as well as both friendly and ranked matches.
