Google reportedly pushes back Android's answer to 3D Touch

Android's version of Apple's 3D Touch might never come to Android N.

James Martin/CNET

Does the "N" in Android N stand for "Never"? It just might if we're talking about Android's answer to Apple's 3D Touch.

Android fans will have to wait until a later version of Google's mobile software to try the feature, Recode reported on Thursday.

It you're not familiar with 3D Touch, it's a function which uses finger pressure to enhance touchscreen interaction on Apple's latest iPhone 6S. It basically turns your phone's entire screen into one, big, pressure-sensitive button.

Google couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
