Google has upgraded its Maps for Europe to include more details, such as streets and driving directions.

"Just a day ago you'd see nothing but the country borders for e.g. Germany in the default map view...now you can see information down to the street level," writes Philipp Lenssen in his Google Blogoscoped blog.

Google Maps Mania posted a blog about the changes to Google Maps Europe on Monday, adding: "Google Maps Mania is about to erupt with more new mashups to come from this area of the world!"
