Get Google Home for $99, Amazon Echo Tap for $89.98

From Home Deals: Get a Google Home speaker for $99 or a refurbished Amazon Echo Tap for $90 in the best deals for the smart home.

If you are excited by the news that the Google Home voice assistant device has just added support for a large number of new smart home devices, Microcenter has the deal for you. They are offering the Google Home voice-activated speaker for $99. That's $30 off the usual price, and it's an in-store pickup deal only. You can order online (and Microcenter claims that your order can be ready in 18 minutes), but you have to go to your local store to pick it up. That's a great deal if you have one nearby, though.

Some of the devices that have just been supported by Google are also on offer, such as the TP Link LB130 multicolor 60W-equivalent LED bulb. NewEgg has this for $42.99, while B&H has a kit with an LB130 bulb and wireless light switch for $69.99. To get that price, click on the coupon button below the price, which nets you 17 percent off. Most locations also get free shipping.

If your voice, heart and wallet belong to Amazon rather than Google, don't forget that the cheapest way to get its Echo voice assistant service is the Amazon Echo Dot, a $49.99 device that can do the same things as the Google Home, such as controlling smart lights, thermostats and other stuff. Plus you can use it to buy stuff from Amazon, of course. If you don't mind buying refurbished, you can get the larger Amazon Echo Tap device for $89.98, which works as a portable Bluetooth speaker and Amazon Echo device.
