Google, AOL still working out details of business deal

Google and America Online are still working out the details of their renewed business relationship. According to documents Google filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday, the companies expect to finalize terms of their commercial agreements before the end of June. The companies have completed the agreement on terms of investment and are close to closing the agreements on how they will work together under the deal, an AOL spokeswoman said. In December, the companies announced that Google will invest $1 billion for a 5 percent stake in AOL, Time Warner's Internet unit. The deal expanded their existing search engine relationship to include collaboration on advertising, instant messaging and video.
