Foxtel wants piracy blocks, Aussie tech delays, Windows 10 news and Mother's Day gadgets (Girt by CNET podcast 25)

Piracy is the topic that refuses to die in Australia, leading us to believe that we need to put a stake through its heart, cut off its head and stuff its mouth with garlic. Until that happens, conversations around the proposed site blocking laws continue. This week saw Foxtel call for a broadening of laws to include the need for search engines to block piracy site results.

The stunning LG G4 smartphone launched this week, but the word is that it won't be in Australia until June. The same goes for the new Jawbone Up3 -- on sale now in the US, but no date locally other than "later this year." Even Amazon is in on the game, launching the Kindle Voyage in Australia yesterday, after it's October 21, 2014 release in the US.

Microsoft's Build Conference has been pumping out Windows 10 news and the surprising truth is that the new OS looks great. One thing Microsoft might want to rethink, though -- that Edge logo is a little too close to Internet Explorer for comfort.
