From the Cheapskate: To clarify, it's "free after rebate." But your final cost for this Blu-ray, DVD and digital combo pack should be zero!

Free after rebate? Er, yes please!

Walmart

Talk about impeccable timing! Just yesterday I wrote about cashback services, and today I've got the cashback deal to beat all cashback deals.

For a limited time, and while supplies last, you can get "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," in Blu-ray, DVD and digital formats, for free when you purchase it from Walmart via TopCashback.

This is going to take some explaining, especially if you're unfamiliar with cashback services (in which case you should read the aforementioned post from yesterday). But here it is in a nutshell: Walmart currently sells the movie for $19.96 plus tax, and TopCashback will give you a $22 rebate. Assuming you choose the store-pickup option, that $22 will more than cover your total cost. (If you opt for shipping, which isn't free, you'll be a few bucks out of pocket.)

The important fine print: This is for new TopCashback customers only. Fortunately, TopCashback accounts are not limited to one per household, so you could sign up, say, your spouse and have him or her grab the deal. (If you do, be sure to use your referral link, which is good for a $10 credit. Or, hey, feel free to use mine.)

Also, make sure you don't toss anything else into your cart while you're shopping. The cashback tracker will work only if the DVD is the only thing you buy -- and it's good for one copy of the movie. (No, you can't buy 10 and get $220 back. Duh.)

Of particular interest, your rebate should land in your TopCashback account within 21 days -- not 90 as I'd mentioned yesterday. From there you can take that payout via PayPal, checking account or gift card. As rebates go, that's about the fastest turnaround you'll ever see.

If you're running an ad blocker, I strongly recommend disabling it throughout this entire transaction, just to be sure it doesn't interfere with TopCashback's tracker.

Beyond that, the terms on TopCashback's promo page are pretty straightforward. What do you think?

(Hey, I got through the entire post without the obligatory "the Force is strong with this deal" line! Although I could just as easily have gone with, "Many Bothans died to bring you this deal.")

Bonus deal: In case you missed it last time (and the time before), Woot once again has -- today only, and while supplies last -- the refurbished AOC E1659FWU 16-inch USB-powered portable LED monitor for $74.99, plus $5 for shipping. (Note that delivery will take at least a week.) This plug-and-play second monitor works in both portrait and landscape orientations and features USB 3.0 connectivity (unlike its older, thicker, USB 2.0-powered predecessor). Love this thing.

Bonus deal No. 2: In the off chance you don't already have an Audible account (or you're willing to, you know, set up a new one), AppSumo is offering a three-month Audible Gold subscription for just $3. As you've no doubt guessed, it's for new customers only. That subscription nets you three audiobooks (one per month), after which you can cancel (and still keep the books) or continue for $14.95 per month.
