A double doh'se of "The Simpsons" on the way! Fox

Just when you think "The Simpsons" will surely run out of couch gags, Homer hijinks, Bart pranks, and Millhouse mishaps "The Simpsons" gets renewed on Fox network for another two seasons.

Fox announced Tuesday that the long-running show will continue for a 27th and 28th season -- that's a whopping 625 episodes since "The Simpsons" began making it the longest-running scripted television series in history.

Considering its long list of awards (31 Emmy Awards and 31 Annie Awards) and accolades including being named the "Best Show of the 20th Century" by Time magazine and the "Greatest American Sitcom" by Entertainment Weekly in 2013, it's no surprise that "The Simpsons" continues to make us laugh since its debut in 1989.

"I've outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and 'McDreamy,' because I have something they don't: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction," fictional character Homer Simpson said in a statement from Fox.

We can't wait to see what celebrity guest stars, awkward situations and bizarre cough gags await for the next two seasons of Matt Groening's hit show.
