Cheap headphones are good, but quality headphones are awesome. Luckily, sometimes you can find quality headphones for cheap. Today, for example.
For a limited time, you can get the Bohm B-66 Bluetooth headphones for $69.99 shipped. That's after applying coupon code O7Z42PTP at checkout. These normally sell for $99, though they're currently $85 before the code. You can get them in black and silver or tan and gold.
These are meant to compete with the likes of Beats and Bose headphones costing two to three times as much. Certainly they compete in the looks department, with gorgeous aluminum housings, large aluminum buttons and something called protein leather covering the earcups and headband.
They're lightweight, which is nice, and they come in a very sturdy (and large) zippered case, one that has ample room for the Micro-USB charging cable and stereo patch cable. The latter is for folks who preferred a wired to a wireless connection, or just if you run out of battery.
I tested the B-66s both ways and found it a great-sounding headset. I'll admit I've never been a huge fan of on-ear headphones, which tend to be tight in order to minimize outside sounds -- and tight gets uncomfortable after a while. But just yesterday I wore these for an hour on a flight, and they were tolerable even after that length of time.
What's more, that gave me a great chance to test the active noise-cancellation feature. It helped reduce some of the engine noise, allowing me to listen at lower volumes than would otherwise be necessary. But the effect was far from total.
As for sound quality, I've always maintained it's very subjective. But my personal rating? "Excellent." My playlists sounded amazing, and when I invited Mrs. Cheapskate to listen, she walked off with the headphones and refused to give them back.

Personally, I think these offer significant value for money. They're absolutely lovely, they sound terrific and they cover all the important feature bases. What's not to like?
