Get an Asus 24-inch LED monitor for $149.99 shipped

That's your post-rebate price, but still a killer deal on this HDMI- and speaker-equipped display.

The Asus VE247H is a steal at $149.99.
The Asus VE247H is a steal at $149.99. Amazon

You know the expression, "Go big or go home"? I say go big in your home! See what I did there? (I know. Terrible. You'll have to forgive me; it's early and I'm pre-coffee.)

For a limited time, Amazon has the Asus VE247H 24-inch LED monitor for $149.99 shipped. That's after redeeming at $20 mail-in rebate (PDF).

That rebate will come in the form of an American Express Prepaid Reward Card, which is more or less as good as cash. Don't like rebates? That's cool -- I'll see you back here on Monday.

Unlike most 24-inch monitors in this price range (and there aren't many), the Asus features LED backlighting, which is not only brighter and more energy-efficient than traditional LCD backlighting, but also longer-lasting.

The VE247H sports a 23.6-inch display with a native resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels (aka 1080p), a 2ms response time, built-in speakers, and all the inputs you could want: VGA, DVI, and HDMI.

The real icing on the cake? Asus backs the monitor with a three-year warranty. Even without the rebate, this is a really solid deal on a big screen. With it, it's one of the best I've seen.

Because it's Amazon, however, the price could change at any time. So if you're liking this deal, don't wait to pull the trigger.

Bonus deal: Don't care about built-in speakers? Amazon also has the Asus VS247H-P 24-inch LED monitor for $139.99 shipped after rebate (same PDF as above). So for $10 less, you're getting pretty much the same monitor, minus the speakers.
