Get a refurbished Blu-ray player for $50

Sellout risk: Ginormous. Kmart's offer is good until May 1, but I have to think these players will sell out long before then. Like, by noon today.

A Blu-ray player for $50? It's true! It's a refurb, but still a killer deal. Kmart

This won't last the day, let alone the time it takes me to type these words, so click quick if you want to score the single best Blu-ray player deal ever.

Kmart is offering a refurbished Magnavox NB500MG9 Blu-ray player for $49.99 shipped (plus sales tax in some states). Note: The product page shows $149.99, but you'll see the $100 savings after you add the player to your cart and hit the checkout page.

This is a basic, no-frills player. It's probably best for folks who want to dip a toe in the Blu-ray waters, or who want a second player for, say, the den or bedroom.

There's nothing on the product page about the warranty, but because this is a refurb, chances are excellent it's 90 days.

Also, as I already mentioned, chances are excellent this will sell out in no time. (If it does, check back in a few hours or even a few days. Kmart might just free up more stock.) Consequently, I've got two backup deals, and they're both freebies!

Backup deal No. 1: Swing by your local Dunkin' Donuts today and the next two Mondays in March to score a free medium hot or iced coffee. Because everyone sitting at a computer on a Monday morning wants one--just admit it.

Backup deal No. 2: Giveaway of the Day has a nice utility for business users, Foxonic Professional 4.0, which can work some serious magic on PDFs: conversion, optimization, merging, splitting, password modifying, etc. It normally sells for $79, but today only, it's free!
