This HomePlug AV-compliant Powerline kit can be yours for 30 bucks, out the door. TP-LINK

Need a high-speed Internet connection to go from here to there? Stringing Ethernet cables through walls, floors, and ceilings is not my idea of a good time.

Fortunately, you can use the existing electrical wiring in your house. No, really! All you need is a couple plug-and-play wall adapters.

Usually they're pretty pricey, but not today: While supplies last, Newegg has the TP-Link TL-PA210KIT HomePlug AV Powerline Adapter Starter Kit for $29.99 shipped. That's after applying coupon code EMCXVVW262 at checkout. (As with most Newegg coupons, you need to be a newsletter subscriber to use this one. It's free to sign up.)

These really are a plug-and-play solution. Pop one of the adapters into an outlet near your router, then bridge the two with an included Ethernet cable. Then plug the other adapter into a wall outlet near whatever needs Ethernet: TiVo, Blu-ray player, Xbox, etc. Presto! You're done.

This particular kit promises a 900-foot range on your home's electrical circuit and features built-in QoS (quality of service) that promises to help with things that require maximum bandwidth (like, say, streaming video). To that end, it's HomePlug AV-compliant.

Of the 33 user reviews on Newegg's site, 27 rated the kit four or five stars. I'd call that a solid endorsement. Given that this product normally sells for $54.99, and similar Powerline kits often cost twice as much, I don't think these will last long at this price. It's definitely one of the best deals I've seen.

If you've tried the TL-PA210KIT yourself, hit the comments and let your fellow cheeps know what to expect.

Bonus deal: One of the all-time great "casual" games, Plants Vs. Zombies, is currently free for iPhone and iPad. The latter version normally sells for $2.99.

Bonus deal No. 2: Looking for a biggish TV with a smallish price? For a limited time, and while supplies last, Best Buy has their house-brand Insignia NS-39L240A13 39-inch LCD HDTV for $279.99 shipped (plus sales tax). That's $70 off the regular price of this 60Hz, 1080p TV, which features three HDMI inputs and a USB port for connecting a digital camera or whatnot. It's kind of a fatty, but well over 1,000 buyers collectively rated it 4.3 stars out of 5.
