Today's post is something of a rerun, a deal I first shared back in May. But it's just as good now as it was then, especially as a certain gift-giving season approaches.
Indeed, for anyone not already acquainted with the joys of the battery-powered Bluetooth speaker, this is a great place to start.
For a limited time, and while supplies last, BuySpry (via Amazon) has the GoGroove BlueSync OR3 Bluetooth speaker for $19.99. Shipping is free for Amazon Prime customers, or if you pad your cart to at least $35. (At least two other sellers, 2nd Street Electronics and Beach Audio, have it for that price as well. If BuySpry's stock runs out, the listing page may switch over to one of those companies. No big deal, just a heads-up.)
If you replaced the "3" in "OR3" with a "B," you'd have an apt description of this speaker: It's an orb, not some boring, old brick. This particular orb is black with a blue stripe, though you can also opt for "blue spatter" and "green spatter" versions.
Specs include onboard play/pause/pair/skip controls, a speakerphone capability, and a drawstring carrying case. I particularly like the three-year warranty. No Bluetooth? No problem: Plug any music-slinging device into the 3.5mm AUX-in jack.
Ah, but how does it sound? Over 700 Amazon customers gave the OR3 an average rating of 4.2 stars, with the biggest gushes aimed at sound quality and battery life (up to 32 hours, according to GoGroove).
A while back I gifted one of these to my awesome brother-in-law Bill, who's as big a music fan as they come. It was his first Bluetooth speaker, and he totally loved it. YMMV, of course, but I daresay for 20 bucks, it's nearly impossible to be disappointed.
Bonus deal: Most of the time, a dirt-cheap TV means a no-brand TV. Not today: Radio Shack has the Toshiba 32L2400U 32-inch LED HDTV for $165.88 with free site-to-store shipping. (If you happen to have a Radio Shack credit card, you can get free shipping to your house.) This 120Hz TV is pretty no-frills (just two HDMI inputs), but it's also nearly $100 less than you'd pay elsewhere -- like at Amazon, where it rates 4.4 stars from nearly 200 buyers.
