I'm back! Did you miss me as much as I missed you? Nah, I'll bet I missed you more. So much so, in fact, that I've put together an exclusive deal on a product I seriously dig.

For a limited time, and while supplies last, you can get the Fluance FiSDK500 iPhone/iPod speaker dock for $99.99 shipped when you apply coupon code FICNET at checkout. It's new, not refurbished, and it normally sells for twice the price. And it was $169.99 the last time I covered it!

Unlike a lot of bookshelf speakers these days, this is one is big. Powerful. And built out of wood, not plastic. Remember those awesome speakers you used to have with your old stereo? Those were made of wood, too. It's what audio purists prefer.

Because this is a dock, you can plug in your 30-pin iPhone or iPod (or a current-gen model if you use an adapter like this one). Of course, the FiSDK500 also has a line-in jack (complete with 3.5mm stereo-to-RCA cable) for connecting just about any device with a headphone jack. And you could also connect a Bluetooth adapter like this one to enable wireless audio.

With a lot of the speakers I write about, I don't have the opportunity to test-play them first, but I do have an FiSDK500 -- and it sounds awesome. (Check CNET's review for a more in-depth analysis.) It looks pretty, too, with its glossy piano-black finish and rounded, retro design. It's a permanent fixture in my kitchen, where it also conveniently charges whoever's iPhone happens to get there first.

That said, I'm not really an audiophile. I love music, but I normally wouldn't spend $200 on a speaker. However, this baby for under $100 out the door is a killer deal, one I would absolutely grab if I didn't already own one. If you like big sound and want the uncompressed clarity that comes from docking (versus Bluetooth streaming), hop on this deal pronto.

Bonus deal: There are times when it's handy to record what's happening on your PC screen, like when you want to archive a Skype conversation or make a video demo of some kind of onscreen activity. Apowersoft's new Free Screen Recorder gives you the tools, and in case the name wasn't a total giveaway, it's free! It lets you record the entire screen or individually selected areas and includes a converter for turning the standard WMV file into something else. Nice little tool! (When you click through to the product page, click Direct Download Link, just below the big green download button. You'll thank me.)
