Galileo Arrives in Jupiter

The Galileo spacecraft is scheduled to arrive in Jupiter's atmosphere today, where it will stay for about two years. Galileo's atmospheric probe that is filled with scientific instruments was designed to find information about the evolution and formation of the solar system. The Galileo Orbiter will orbit and make observations of the Jupiter system for about two years.
