Galaxy Tab 10.1 launches nationwide tomorrow

I'm a little disappointed in you guys. Here we are, on the eve of the Samsung's nationwide rollout of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, and you aren't even lining up for it yet. What gives?

If there's a tablet out there right now that's worthy of Apple-level hysterics, it's this one. Samsung got the message when we complained about how the original Tab was too small, too chunky, and too strapped down with contracts. Starting tomorrow, the Tab on everyone's mind will be the thinner than the iPad 2, with a great big screen and no contracts, and the first to market with Android 3.1. It's currently sitting right at the top of our list of Best Android tablets.

Priced right in line with the iPad 2 at $499 (16GB) and $599 (32GB), the Tab 10.1 isn't falling victim to the same carrier-inflated pricing schemes as before. That said, Samsung isn't following the lead of Asus and Acer, who are clawing toward that $400 sweet spot. At least, not yet.

And maybe that's why you're not camping in the street and shaving Android bots into your hair right now. Last year, retailers began slashing the Tab's price only a few months after its release. Perhaps you're poised for the inevitable price cut.

For those of you who really are champing at the bit, you can pick up a Galaxy Tab 10.1 tomorrow at just about any real or virtual electronics store you can think of.
