Fun With the Palm Pre's Camera

The Palm Pre's camera is the first phone camera I've had with a flash. Being able to take pictures in any lighting with my cell phone is pretty amazing!

I remember when my family got our first digital camera. It was 1.2 Megapixel, no zoom, and no flash. We were so tickled that we could take a picture and see it on our computer screen just minutes later.

Digital cameras have come a long way. Now we even have them on our cell phones!

My first cell phone's camera was less than a megapixel, but I thought it was amazing that I could take someone's picture and use it as their called ID photo!

Now, I could print a photo taken with my cell phone's camera.

The Palm Pre's camera is the first phone camera I've had with a flash. Being able to take pictures in any lighting with my cell phone is pretty amazing! Because my good digital camera is gigantic and rather expensive, I don't have it with me very often. The Pre is now doubling as my pocket size camera! I'm so enjoying be able to capture moments I would have otherwise missed.

No, I don't expect to print poster sized beauties from the Pre's camera, but I can definitely share my photos online. Whrrl is my favorite place to upload and share photos from my cell phone because I can also upload text, notify my Facebook and Twitter pals that I have a new "story" online and I can post the photos from wherever I am.

My only complaint? The camera's shutter-sound!!! For goodness sakes! Why wouldn't they make that optional?
