Fujifilm X Series cameras leak, have retro chic

Two retro-styled Fujifilm cameras have leaked, and both look awesome.

Two vintage-style Fujifilm cameras have leaked ahead of the Photokina conference. And they're both lookers.

First up is the Fujifilm X-E1 mirrorless camera. It looks a lot like the awesome X-Pro1 model, Engadget reports, but has a pop-up flash, and doesn't have the optical viewfinder. It looks slightly lower-end than the X-Pro1, though it does have a very smart leather body with a black or silver top, and interchangeable lenses.

A Fujifilm compact camera has also leaked, Japanese site Digicam Info reports (via The Verge). Though it's so top-secret no-one even knows its name. It could be the X-P1, or the X-F1, but really it's anyone's guess.

It features the same retro styling as the X-E1, made of metal with a leather covering, but has no interchangeable lenses.

We do have some specs on it though. The camera reportedly features a 4x zoom, and f/1.8 aperture at its widest, which shrinks down to f/4.9. A dial on the top lets you select modes, and another lets you activate the flash, macro mode and navigate the menu.

Like the X-E1, it features a pop-up flash, too. A switch on the back (at the top left) lets you pop it up, ready for snapping in low light.

There's no word on how many megapixels it'll pack, or how much it'll cost. But I'm sure we'll find out more once Photokina kicks off next month. Or both cameras could even make an appearance before then at IFA, which starts next week.

Which do you have your eye on? How much would you be willing to shell out for each? And what other specs would you like to see? Let me know over on our Facebook page, or in the comments below.
