We'll say this for One Duck: we never thought tossing a rubber duckie around a tiled room would be so compelling.

The Unity-based game nearly didn't happen. Creator NostraDamon was participating in Ludum Dare 28 (theme: You Only Get One) and ran out of time to complete his original idea, so put together a game based on a very simple idea: a bouncing rubber duck.

And, well, that's basically all that happens: you walk around the room, pick up the duck and toss it at the wall to rack up the bounces. When you reach certain milestones in your bounce score, you're rewarded with more ducks to throw around, some with special bouncing abilities.

What we really like is, even though it's a simple concept, the execution is solid. The game showcases some really top-notch bouncing, and we were pretty impressed with the audio. Pop on some headphones and it really sounds like the duck is getting closer or farther away.

If it sounds like your kinda jam, head over to the One Duck web page. Bear in mind that you will need to install the Unity web player for your browser if you haven't already. Happy ducking!
