On Monday, Jane Espenson did it. She built an open ring out of Pringles chips ("crisps," for you UK folks) using no glue or other substances, just the natural curved shape of the snack food.
"I did it! I did it! I built a Pringles ringle! No glue, just physics," she wrote on Twitter. And 150,000 people rejoiced with her.
Espenson is an accomplished TV writer known for her stellar work on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Battlestar Galactica" and "Once Upon a Time." Her Pringles accomplishment inspired other Twitter users to build their own edible Stargate lookalikes.
Espenson gives credit to an @SciencePorn tweet that inspired her snack-food construction efforts.
Unlike other epic building achievements, like Stonehenge and the Great Wall of China, Espenson's creation did not survive the test of time. "For all those saying I wasted food, have no worries. I ate all the Pringles after it collapsed," she tweeted.
