Former Apple engineers introduce earbuds adapted to your lifestyle

Soon, you won't have to worry about constantly readjusting your earbuds. Instead you'll spend all day sorting through 180 options to find just the perfect fit.
ELWN, a manufacturer and retailer of Bluetooth headphone gear created by two former Apple engineers, is starting a Kickstarter campaign on July 12 to launch earbuds that adapt to your ears and to what you are doing. They'll join an already crowded field of wireless earbuds being hyped on crowdfunding sites.
"With our Perfect Fit system, we know you will be able to create a snug and comfortable fit that won't go anywhere as you enjoy your favorite activities," said Adam Kaslikowski, an ELWN founding team member, in a release Thursday. Each package of ELWN earbuds will include 180 fit options.
The earbuds are wireless and run on a battery that will last approximately three hours. But the company says its patent pending Infinity Band charger will allow users to keep using the earbuds while they are charging for more than six hours. The earbuds will also have a built-in microphone and will be sweat and water resistant.
The price has yet to be announced but is expected to be less than $200. ELWN said people who join its Kickstarter waiting list can snag the earbuds for less that $100.
