Some appliances provide a means to prepare a wide variety of foods. Consider the myriad possibilities for meals from the oven, stovetop, or even the microwave and it becomes apparent that their use in daily life is rich and varied. The flip side to that coin is that there are plenty of appliances that are capable of only doing one thing, such as deep-fry foods or keep a pot of fondue happily bubbling away. But when two features are combined, then the resultant fusion can lead to something more than the sum of its parts.

Providing a means to deep-fry a chicken nugget and dip it in melted cheese afterwards, the Cook's Essentials Snack Fryer & Fondue Pot is a dual-use appliance sure to keep dietitians and cardiologists happily employed. The 1-quart countertop appliance comes complete with a removable fry basket as well as six forks for fondue. Temperature is adjusted easily via a large dial on the front of the unit and it also features a ready indicator light. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) the unit has only one vessel and hence is only capable of operating as either a fondue pot or a deep-fryer.
