Online syndication start-up FirstLook says it has inked a distribution deal with U.K.-based entertainment provider Carlton Interactive Media with access to FirstLook's library of streaming video content. Under the deal, Los Angeles-based FirstLook will provide Carlton Interactive Media's film Web site, Popcorn.co.uk, with FirstLook's library of feature film trailers and related video material, including movie premieres and film celebrity interviews. FirstLook said the agreement will enable the company to expand its overseas operations.
FirstLook is a provider of streaming video content, including previews of upcoming movies, DVDs, music video games, TV shows and other related entertainment content. FirstLook also recently unveiled similar U.S. distribution deals with Microsoft, Tribune Media, InfoSpace and eUniverse. FirstLook said it is backed by companies including Cox Communications, Cox Enterprises, Idealab, Intel Corporation, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Goldman Sachs.
