First glance at Communicator

brief goes here

The core of Netscape's Communicator, Navigator 4.0, contains some notable graphical user interface changes, including the addition of icons on the menu bar, readily accessible bookmarks, and a floating task bar for switching between the browser, email, HTML editing, and discussion group programs.

Collections gives users a single display of threaded discussion groups on various servers, as well as email boxes.

As with the email client in Navigator 3.0, Communicator's Messenger program supports HTML and Java in email messages. But Messenger will also come with filters, security, and IMAP support. The latter two features are not supported in this preview release.

Communicator's address book stores contact information, including email addresses, phone numbers, and Internet telephone numbers so that users can easily make calls with the Conference feature of Communicator.
