In a David-and-Goliath battle, desktop publishing software maker Quark said sales are way up, after disclosing its proposal to buy or invest in graphics software company Adobe. The overtures by the much-smaller Quark were rejected by Adobe, notwithstanding the latter's continuing financial turmoil.
