Facebook racked up a total of 66.5 million Oscar-related social interactions between the time the nominees were announced and last night's awards ceremony, the company revealed today.

The social network said the Academy Awards scored a 7.17 on its Talk Meter, a 10-point scale that measures Facebook buzz around a specific event. For comparison, the 2012 election scored a 9.27.

"'Oscars received three times more mentions this year, while the Best Picture nominees racked up 20 times more mentions than 2012," Facebook said in a blog post. "'Les Miserables had the most Likes of this year's top films, and despite being set in France, the film's largest body of fans are in London. It was also the favorite film among women and people ages 13 to 17."

Best actress winner Jennifer Lawrence scored particularly high with men. The leading lady was the most-talked about nominated actress across the U.S. ahead of the ceremony, and was the front-runner among men, but women preferred "Zero Dark Thirty" actress Jessica Chastain on Oscar night.

Facebook's numbers aren't directly comparable to Twitter. The information network said that it counted 8.9 million tweets related to the movie awards show last night alone.
