Who doesn't think Google's doodles are a nice bit of fun now and then? It's a pleasant way to accidentally learn a few famous birthdays and interesting milestones while you search the web. If you've heard about some great past doodles but never saw them for yourself, you might like to waste some time checking out the archives.

Google keeps all its doodles at google.com/logos/ and it includes even the country-specific logos you wouldn't have seen unless you lived in other parts of the world.
