Some bad news for Verizon Wireless this week. A former Verizon customer service representative was recently sent to federal prison for stealing and selling prepaid PINs worth almost $21 million. The PINs, or personal identification numbers, are used to purchase additional minutes for Verizon's Pay As You Go prepaid plan. Timothy Charles Mattos was caught selling them at a discount to various retailers in the country. He was ordered to pay $21.3 million in restitution to Verizon, so all will be well soon.
