Ex-Sybase exec to lead Onyx division

Onyx Software said Monday that it has hired former Sybase executive John Fraser to lead sales, service and business development of its customer relationship management software in North America. Fraser replaces Mark Upson, who recently left the company. As businesses rein in spending on information technology, Onyx and rivals Siebel Systems and Epiphany have seen sales plummet.
