Epson serial printer connected via Keyspan Adapter: modem conflict explained

Using a Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter attached to his QuickSilver G4, Ed Sharp could not get the internal modem to work when his Epson Stylus Photo EX was connected to the Keyspan Adapter. Keyspan replied to this matter:

"The problem with internal modem is caused by the use of the Epson printer. Epson printers will only work if the internal modem slot is disabled. That is done by selecting Epson Support (from the Keyspan Assistant control panel). When you need the internal modem, uncheck Epson Support. The real solution is up to Epson."
