It's hard to imagine one of the nicest guys in comics insult the sweetest man in Muppets using rap lyrics, but then again, this is why they call it an "epic rap battle" not "epic rap hug."
In "Epic Rap Battles of History: Jim Henson vs Stan Lee" -- we see creator of "The Muppets" Jim Henson (played here by Nice Peter) with his pal Kermit the Frog rap against the legendary creator of many Marvel superheroes Stan Lee (played here by EpicLLOYD).
Fans of both creative geniuses will appreciate (or shake their heads in disgust) at all the inside insults and hardcore geek references. After all, it's not every day you hear someone name drop "The Fraggles" as an insult.
Stan Lee raps just like you would expect him to, rhyming words like "butt kicked" with "bupkis." Plus not to be out-Muppetted by Henson, Lee brings a puppet of himself in on the game.
Jim Henson, on the other hand, uses a more Zen approach when throwing down rebuttal raps that are almost calming. Plus Kermit speaking for Henson makes it seem even more magical.
Though, that doesn't mean Henson doesn't get in his share of burns during the battle, especially when he sings, "I'm impressed by all the vision that it took for you to sign your name on all of Jack Kirby's comic books."
But insults and low-blows aside, Lee gets sentimental half way through the battle and confesses to missing Henson, and Henson admits he's a fan of Lee's superheroes. However, just when you think you're witnessing a first-ever rap battle truce, none other than Walt Disney (played here by Zach Sherwin) comes along to fight them both.
Disney, who looks more like Borat than the old chum we know and love, comes off like a fascist dictator to remind Lee and Henson that he owns everything, including them both. It's a not-so-subtle reminder that Disney does seem to be in charge of every geeky thing we love.
