'Game of Thrones' queen Emilia Clarke joins Star Wars' Han Solo prequel

Universes collide! What happens when you put a Targaryen in space with a cowboy and a bounty hunter? We'll find out in 2018.

As an audience expert, she rarely writes but when she does it's most certainly about Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Westworld, San Diego Comic-Con and great streaming properties. Or soccer, that's a thing she loves, too.

Emilia Clarke will be in the Han Solo movie, but there's no word on what her role will be. Let the speculation begin!

HBO

Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit HBO show "Game of Thrones" (which I suppose you might have realized from the picture above), has officially joined the cast of Star Wars' Han Solo movie.

The still-untitled Han Solo film, set for a 2018 release, also stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. Plus, it's being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, also known as the minds behind "The Lego Movie" and "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs."

And...that's about all we know. The official Star Wars announcement says "her role" will round out the movie's "dynamic cast of characters." Now I just want to spend the rest of my Friday speculating about who she's going to play! Thoughts?
