How do you do, fellow kids? Fancy voting for a totally radical political party this election?
Proving that there's nothing quite like a media team trying to keep its finger on the pulse, the Liberal Party has surprised pollsters and hipsters everywhere by sponsoring their very own Snapchat filter.
The filter is making waves just hours out from the start of the election, with democra-selfies popping up all over social media, many of them ridiculing the Libs' hip new vibe. It's also raised questions about whether Australia's official pre-election advertising blackout is still relevant, in an age when huge numbers of voters can be reached through new media.
It's not the only attempt to tap into the youth vote this election. One of the Labor Party's strongest backers, the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union, appears to have handed over the keys to its Twitter account to the neighbours' 13 year old kid, and the results are glorious.
There is zero chance that the marketing team of one of the oldest unions in Australia thinks in poop emojis, flying cash and flame icons. But we're betting this political spin doctor is being closely watched in the corridors of power.
