eBay wants its users to bond in person

eBay plans to bring people together in a three-day shindig designed to celebrate its "people and passion," the online auction company said Wednesday. The event, "eBay Live," will take place in Anaheim, Calif., from June 21 to June 23, and feature courses at "eBay University" on buying and selling tips, and sessions where eBay users can give feedback to executives. There will also be special-interest social events for sports fans and collectors, among others, according to the company. The attendance fee is $45, or $25 for anyone who registers before March 25. The company said it "hopes eBay Live will give its users a rare opportunity to come together in person, celebrate with one another and build lasting relationships."
