Earthworm Jim winning Sega poll for next Xbox Live Arcade release

Sega wants to know which ancient Mega Drive game you want it to shove inside an emulator and make you pay for again. This time it's XBLA raking in the cash from your 16-bit nostalgia

Sega wants to know which ancient Mega Drive game you want it to shove inside an emulator and make you pay for again. This time, people who regret throwing their old consoles away will be able to atone via the obliging venue of the Xbox 360.

There are seven contenders for the honour of next-reissued-Sega-game: Earthworm Jim, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe II, Revenge of Shinobi, Shining Force, Wonder Boy and ToeJam & Earl. T3's votes went for Earthworm Jim, and so did ours.

And so should yours, too. Jim's one of the most demiurgic invertebrates to grace the world's screens: he used himself as a whip, rode underwater hamsters, battled a bloke with a monkey for a head, and launched cows from seesaws. He was, without doubt, a total winner of a worm.

Voting's open 'til 22 August at GenesisPoll.com and if you don't vote for Jim, get yourself to a GP -- you might be dead inside.
