Gaming giant Electronic Arts (EA) has shown its support for the new BlackBerry tablet OS, announcing it has developed versions of its popular Need for Speed and Tetris titles for the new system.

In a statement, EA has announced these games will be preloadeded on the BlackBerry PlayBook at the tablet's launch and that both titles will be playable on the device during next week's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The two titles may not be the most exciting games EA could have chosen to develop first, but it is interesting to see that of all the mobile platforms it could have invested in, it has decided to throw its support behind BlackBerry.
