E-Book album works on TVs, PCs

E-Book Systems' $299 FlipAlbum Recorder burns, stores and displays digital photos, interacting with televisions and computers.

E-Book Systems on Monday announced a new gadget for storing and displaying photos. The FlipAlbum Recorder is a stand-alone device that allows viewing, archiving and sharing of digital photographs on a television set or a computer. The $299 system, which works with both Windows PCs and Macs, also incorporates a burner that writes to CD-R and CD-RW media.

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company also said Monday that the Publishers Marketing Association will be using E-Book's Digital Flip technology to let visitors to its Web site view newsletters as they do the print versions.
