Dragon speakers to guard your lair

A lot better than cookies as a Lunar New Year gift.

Now this is what we call a Lunar New Year gift. Forget those gold USB drives; these dragon speakers are far more useful while paying homage to an important cultural icon.

Oddly enough, they're not made in Asia but in the U.K. by Axelsson Design. The faux reptiles stand 15.4 inches tall, with speakers that include 4-inch woofers, 1-inch tweeters, and bass that is "actually ported through the mouth of each dragon," Technabob says.

They come in black, white, and even bright red but, unfortunately, they're made of plastic instead of marble or cinnabar. We have no idea how those materials would make them sound anyway. And that's especially important given their $940 price--which means you won't find these in some Chinatown souvenir shop next to the fans and back-scratchers.
