Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new trailer for Lego Dimensions starring beloved "Back to the Future" actor Christopher Lloyd, who reprises his role as Doc Brown.
The trailer, which is part live-action, shows Doctor Emmett Brown receiving a mysterious package containing Lego pieces. After some fiddling, he puts together a teleporter and is transported into a Lego world filled with recognisable heroes and villains.
And yes, he also throws out his catchphrase. Check it out below.
The game is to be developed by series stewards Traveller's Tales and will fuse together characters from franchises including DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, The Lego Movie, The Wizard of Oz, Lego Ninjago, and more.
TT Games founder and creative director Jon Burton has said Lego Dimensions will deliver "endless" creative play, as gamers will be able to mix different franchises together.
"When kids play with Lego bricks, they build beyond the singular brands, intermixing all of their favourite characters and universes, and we have come up with a way for players to experience that in games," Burton said.
"Now for the first time in a video game, Lego fans can play in the virtual world and in the real world -- combining everything without restrictions. Imagine putting Lego Gollum from 'The Lord of the Rings' behind the wheel of the Lego DeLorean in New Ninjago City -- the creative play is endless."
