Deutsche Bank, iPlanet ink e-payment deal

Deutsche Bank said Monday it plans to integrate online bill payment and management software from iPlanet--an alliance between Sun Microsystems and Netscape--with its online bill payment services. The global financial giant chose iPlanet's BillerXpert, B2B Edition software to add to its existing electronic bill presentment and payment service called db-eBills, which launched in Asia in July. Running on BillerXpert, the service will be launched in the United States, Europe and Asia during the second half of this year and will be hosted by Deutsche Bank, iPlanet said in a statement. Banks will use BillerXpert to create a multilanguage, multicurrency service for business-to-business electronic invoicing, bill presentment, approval and dispute resolution.
