Pentax first announced the availability of customised colour options to US consumers back in January this year. Now, Australian buyers get the same opportunity to choose from five colours for the camera grip and 20 for the body. Custom cameras are only available from the Pentax Australia website for AU$499, with models taking up to three weeks to ship.

The Q10 is a tiny interchangeable lens camera from Pentax that uses an equally small 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and its own dedicated Q mount for lenses. There is also a K-mount adapter available for mounting other Pentax K lenses on the Q10.

This isn't the first time that the camera manufacturer has provided access to bespoke cameras. In 2010, Pentax offered a similar promotion with the K-x SLR, which could be ordered in twelve body colours.
