DEMO 96: Net PC from Sun shines at show
At Demo 96 today, Sun Microsystems gave attendees a glimpse of a new, inexpensive Net computer.
INDIAN WELLS, California--Sun Microsystems officials today showed off a prototype Net device packaged in a 5-inch-by-9-inch-by-2-inch box that includes a SPARC processor and RAM, but no storage.
The Mountain View, California company has produced 300 of the devices, which will be used internally. The device requires a monitor and must be hooked up to a LAN to work.
