Dude, what's happening to online advertising? "Steven," the hip young character who announces "You're getting a Dell, dude" to overwhelmed PC shoppers in Dell's new line of TV commercials, now has his own Web site. The site coincides with a new TV campaign featuring Steven, called "Plain English."
"Steven's Software and Peripheral Picks," information about the Dell notebook that Steven uses, and information about 21-year-old actor Benjamin Curtis are all featured on the site. David Marmonti, vice president of marketing for Dell's Consumer Group, said in a press release Monday that the Web site was designed in response to overwhelming interest in the Steven character from Dell customers.
