Microsoft has until July 16 to argue against Massachusetts' request for attorneys fees in the antitrust case, according to an order by U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly made public on Monday. Massachusetts and West Virginia had sued Microsoft alongside more than a dozen other states, but were the only states the final judgement.

Kollar-Kotelly's order, entered last Thursday, gave Microsoft additional time to reply to Massachusetts' argument that that state law buttresses its claim for between $1.1 million and $1.9 million in attorneys' fees. On June 18, West Virginia said it had reached an out-of-court settlement with Microsoft over its attorneys fees.
