Cue the Imperial March. None other than Darth Vader himself will be appearing in the season finale of Disney XD's hit animated series "Star Wars Rebels" for its 13th episode and season finale called "Fire Across the Galaxy," airing on March 2 at 9 p.m. ET in the US. (UK and Australian fans, check with your local Disney XD website for the time and date of the episode.)

This isn't the first time the Sith Lord showed up on the show. Previously, Darth Vader appeared as a hologram in the animated movie that launched the series.

The "Rebels" story centers on a rag-tag crew. StarWars.com sets the scene: "Cowboy Jedi Kanan, ace pilot Hera, street-smart teenager Ezra, the 'muscle' Zeb, warrior firebrand Sabine and grumpy old astromech droid Chopper, who will face threatening new villains, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion."

This isn't the first time an original "Star Wars" trilogy character has come in contact with the crew on "Star Wars Rebels." In January, actor Billy Dee Williams reprised his role as Lando Calrissian from "The Empires Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" in the episode entitled "Idiot's Array."

Other iconic characters such as Jedi Master Yoda and Grand Moff Tarkin have also made appearances on the cartoon.

The regular "Star Wars Rebels" voice cast includes Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan, David Oyelowo as Agent Kallus and Jason Isaacs as the Inquisitor.

Fans will be happy to know that "Star Wars Rebels" has already been renewed for another season. US fans can catch the animated series on Disney XD every Monday at 9 p.m. local time.
